how I made hidden paper clips and dangles

Hi everyone, I'm back here with a post and a video about clips. I usually create clips themed on the journals I make, using ephemera and scraps of paper, or rather paper kits that I use to make journals. In this case, some of these will be a gift, others I will keep them for some projects I plan to do and others will go into the quarterly journal that I'm making in 2025.

By the way, I also have to start the second journal, because April is coming and the days are flying by. The next one will be from May to August.

Let's go back to the clips,  I recorded twice this video, because I had recorded it edited but I didn't show how to decorate them, for the simple fact that looking for the images, the labels, the stickers... it takes me a long time, someone tells me "you have to do things without thinking too much", it would be funny to take photos of the tables, and the floor too, and show you the mess I manage to make. I already have a challenge in mind to do "How much do you mess up the creative room when you create something?" There was a period in Facebook groups where this "challenge" was launched 😂.

Those clips had a "error" or rather, in the journals and in everything that concerns them there are no errors or defects, but it is precisely these "imprecisions" that make them original and unique. I had moved the upper part of the crop to dile and the eyelets opened on the back in a way that was not "normal" I changed the settings and now it works perfectly again.

In this video I decorated a clip made  like the ones I had made in the previous video, but in reverse. Usually I put a sheet of lighter paper as a base and then a scrap paper on top and the clip is hidden between the two layers of paper, in this case I show you one of the very first ones I made where the upper scrap paper is smaller than the base.

In the video that I didn't publish I explained that by putting the eyelet inside the clip you are sure that it won't tear and you only lose a few millimeters (the diameter of the eyelet) of clip.

these will go at the top of the page

here all together

I would have liked to also include a part where I showed you how to make them with cotton thread or waxed cotton, but the video became really too long. In any case, I much prefer the way I created necklaces and bracelets. I really like the pendants/dangles/tassels made with cotton for the spine of journals.

That's all for now, I hope to create more with the large clips... But at the moment  I don't know yet.  Happy crafting everyone.

a kiss

Betty
