Nuovo Journal, vi mostro un po' come lo sto decorando

 

Salve a tutti, bentornati, 

oggi vi mostro un nuovo Journal, questo realizzato con carte digitali, oltre alle carte invecchiate col té, col caffè e con le carte scrap, mi sto divertendo tantissimo, anche perché le carte sono stupende e poi è il primo junk dove la cover è in stoffa. Le carte hanno dei colori che io adoro.

 Io con la carta a creare copertine mi risulta complicato, con la stoffa peggio, perché non trovo mai e non trovavo neanche per questo delle fantasie di stoffa che potessero andare. Un anno fa circa da un negozio di stoffe on line acquistai del tessuto bianco-crema proprio per fare delle cover e dipingerle io, e credo che ne acquisterò altra di questa stoffa perché ho intenzione di fare una creazione per la mia camera, ma torniamo alla cover del Journal. Perché una cover in stoffa? Avevo creato delle cover tempo fa, naturalmente nessuna andava né come colori né come dimensione, in quanto ho voluto dare più spazio tra una rilegatura e l'altra. Ricordate quel mini junk journal che avete visto in qualche post/video fa? l'ho finito a Gennaio, ed è diventato talmente cicciotto che non si chiude più, errore mio, ho messo troppi fogli, poco spazio tra le rilegature e se a questo si aggiungono i vari abbellimenti dentro... è logico che diventa così pieno da "esplodere", per questo ho voluto lasciare circa 1,2 cm tra una rilegatura e l'altra e non dico che scoppia già ma è bello pieno, 1.5 cm sarebbe probabilmente stato meglio. Nel video che aggiungerò alla fine del post, mostro il journal che ho iniziato il 12.02.2023 che nel video non lo dico ma nell'ultima pagina ho segnato la data di inizio, così da vedere quanto tempo ci impiegherò a ultimarlo.

Come potete vedere è bello pieno, vi mostro anche il retro che ho dimenticato di mostrare nel video.

Ho usato 2 stancils diversi per realizzare la cover, uno acquistato da Aliexpress qualche anno fa e uno che non ricordo se lo acquistai al Lidl o da Opitec sinceramente. Però li trovo carini e devo dire che mi piacciono molto per questa cover. 

La cover dicevo è del canvas bianco-crema, all'interno stoffina a fiorellini sul giallo e marroncino e tra i due strati ho aggiunto del feltro. Naturalmente ho prima creato la cover con i colori per stoffa e poi cucito il tutto. Vi mostro i colori per stoffa anzi i pennarelli che uso per scrivere sulla stoffa.

Vorrei vedere di acquistare qualche colore spray "distress", prima o poi li acquisterò. Vi mostro questi della Marabu.

Quelli nella foto in alto sono solo 3 e sono in spray, mentre questi sono dei pennarelli per stoffa, in passato ne avevo presi un paio da Opitec, se non ricordo male, e invece questi sono 10 e per ora ho solo fatto delle scritte per i journal, ma voglio provare a disegnare qualcosa, il fatto è che hanno una punta spessa e sulla stoffa diventa ancora più spessa, farò delle prove che condividerò prossimamente.

Sulla spina del Journal ho aggiunto un occhiello al quale ho appeso un tassello per decorare, ecco che tornano utili quelle creazioni che fai prima in attesa del progetto adatto per esser decorato con quell'abbellimento. Ho usato delle madreperla, delle perle in acrilico e delle perle dorate.

Per chiudere il Journal ho aggiunto, cucito successivamente a mano una fascia di stoffa invecchiata col tè e una chiave in metallo.

Sotto la scritta Journal un piccolo scampolo di stoffa rosa con i cuoricini, e sia l'applicazione sia il merletto che vedete verde, erano uno bianco e uno beige, e con i colori spray con cui ho creato la cover ho colorato anche questi, e nel video avevo registrato come le avevo colorate, ma vi mostrerò in un prossimo video e in prossimo post meglio. Vorrei provare a fare altri esperimenti con altri tipi di colori , naturali però (molto piccolo chimico io 😁).

Come accennavo poco fa lasciare un pochino più di spazio tra una rilegatura e l'altra forse mi avrebbe dato modo di aggiungere molti abbellimenti in più di quelli che ho già aggiunto e che ancora aggiungerò, perché son ben lontana dal terminare questo Journal dai colori molto primaverili devo dire.

 

Vedete la stoffa? ecco lo spazio tra una rilegatura e l'altra vista dall'interno. Come dicevo nel video, le vidi in uno dei video di Gayle Agostinelli, appena le vidi, la mattina seguente le acquistai da Etsy, il venditore si chiama JoeyCardmaker, le sue collezioni sono davvero belle.

Probabilmente in altri video farò vedere abbellimenti fatti apposta per questo Journal.

In questo Journal oltre alle carte digitali ho aggiunto molte carte invecchiate col té col caffè, con la curcuma e con la carta velina colorata, il cartoncino con il foil è da un blocco di carta in formato A4 da 180g/m, mi è stata regalata da mia zia l'ha acquistata alla Micros (in Svizzera).

Qui vi mostro solo alcune delle prime pagine, per vedere il resto vi lascio al video, e ne farò sicuramente un altro video una volta ultimato. 

Questo è il mio 11esimo juournal e di 11 ne ho finiti solo 2. Io poi non vado in ordine seguendo le pagine ma giro e dove trovo la pagina che mi ispira in quel momento decoro.  Ho ancora da finire quello con gli animaletti a tema autunno e quello delle frasi, citazioni e canzoni... 

Queste sono i colori delle carte ottenute con la carta velina, il primo non è stato immerso nell'acqua ma solo schizzato, nel Journal ho usato molti fogli dove si vedono le piccole gocce colorate, in foto non rendono ma il rosa l'ho ottenuto dal rosso, anche se il colore dell'acqua è molto scuro il colore ottnuto è sempre molto chiaro, idem per il blu e il verde e il viola.

da sinistra a destra abbiamo, caffè, té e poi una prova con l'acqua di cottura delle castagne (per fare le caldarroste, incido le castagne e le faccio bollire e in seguito le faccio arrostite, si cuociono meglio e non fanno fumo), e provai a fare qualche foglio, e devo dire che il risultato è interessante... 

Non ho più fogli, l'ultimo l'ho usato nel Journal, questo è realizzato con la curcuma. In realtà è un giallo più vivo di questo, in foto non rende.

Per adesso è tutto, torno a creare e vado avanti con il journal. Buona creatività a tutti. A prestissimo.

creative recycling, let's make nice baskets for our desk or as treat holder

 

Hi everyone, today I'm showing you how I transformed plastic containers into baskets, on my desk there are always containers full of clips, die-cuts, laces and a thousand other things,you know I don't like to see the containers with the writing and drawings of what they contained, , so I embellish them, so my desk is more colorful and nice 😃

A few days ago I was asked for the video, I explained the process via comment, then I said "let's make a quick video where I show how I make them", this too is really easy to make, in the following photos I will explain better.

We need: Plastic containers, jute, twine, jute rope (thin) raffia, lace, embellishments in felt, wood or whatever you like, then of course hot glue and/or vinyl acetate glue, fabric if you want to cover the inside of the container /basket.

I start with the base of the container, I cover it with jute, we can also use fabric, but for the baskets I always prefer jute. Cut a circle of a couple of centimeters more than the container, to have enough fabric to be able to glue it also on the side, if we cut of the same dimension of the base jute or fabric can fray.

We then glue the jute to the bottom of the container.

Once glued, we make cuts every 2 cm or so, so that the post turns without creating creases.

We glue the jute on the side of the container and start with the chosen yarn to cover the entire side.

For the first one I show in the video, I used a raffia that I bought from a Chinese shop here a few years ago and then I used twine, a little too thin actually. Some advises I want to tell you:

The first is to add hot glue for a couple of laps around the entire circumference of the container, then only in a couple of dots of glue around the entire circumference, because the glue doesn't allow you to glue the twine close between the various  rounds, leaving show the bottom.

The second tip is to use  a little thicker twine.

As you can see, for some of these baskets I used wide jute ribbon.

On the border I glued a flat trimming, if you want you can continue with the used thread, but I prefer a trimming. We then embellish as you like, with embellishments in wood, felt, fabric, with die-cuts, or flowers... free your imagination.

For the second basket I used orange colored burlap string, I just added burlap to the bottom to hide the hot glue showing through the plastic. Later I added some sisal and some eggs, in this case they are polystyrene, I didn't have any chocolates, but to give you an idea...

Instead in the first one I show in the video I made a pen holder, or rather a marker holder

In the others I keep clips, die-cuts and clothespins.

I find them very nice.

riciclo creativo. contenitori trasformati in cestini

 

Ciao a tutti, oggi vi mostro come ho trasformato dei contenitori di plastica in cestini, sulla mia scrivania ci sono sempre contenitori pieni di clips, fustellate, merletti e mille altre cose, vedere i contenitori con le scritte e i disegni di quel che contenevano, non mi piacciono tantissimo, quindi li abbellisco, così la mia scrivania è più colorata e allegra 😃

Qualche giorno fa mi è stato chiesto il video, ho spiegato via commento il procedimento, poi ho detto "ma si facciamo un video veloce dove mostro come li faccio", anche questo davvero facile da realizzare, nelle foto che seguiranno vi spiegherò meglio.

 

Abbiamo bisogno di: Contenitori di plastica, juta, spago, corda di juta (sottile) raffia, merletti, abbellimenti in feltro, legno o quello che più vi piace, poi naturalmente colla a caldo e/o colla aceto vinilica, stoffa se volete rivestire l'interno del contenitore/cestino. 

Inizio con la base del contenitore, io lo rivesto con della juta, possiamo anche usare un tessuto, ma io per i cestini preferisco sempre la juta. Tagliate un cerchio di un paio di centimetri in più rispetto al contenitore, in modo da avere abbastanza stoffa per poterla incollare anche sul lato, tagliarla pari farebbe sfilacciare la base.

Incolliamo poi la juta sul fondo del contenitore.

Una volta incollato, pratichiamo dei tagli ogni 2 cm circa, in modo che posta girare senza creare pieghe. 

 

Incolliamo la juta sul lato del contenitore e iniziamo con il filato scelto a rivestire tutta la parte laterale 

Io per il primo che mostro nel video ho utilizzato una raffia che acquistai dai cinesi un po' di anni fa e poi dello spago, un po' troppo sottile in realtà. Un consiglio che vi do anzi due consigli: 

Il primo è di aggiungere colla a caldo per un paio di giri su tutta la circonferenza del contenitore, in seguito solo in un paio di punti su tutta la circonferenza, perché la colla non vi permette di incollare il filo vicino tra i vari giri, lasciando trasparire il fondo. 

Il secondo consiglio è quello di usare uno spago un pochino più spesso.

Come potete vedere io per alcuni di questi cestini ho usato il nastro largo di Juta. 

Sul bordino ho incollato una passamaneria piatta, volendo si può continuare col filo usato, ma io preferisco una passamaneria. In seguito abbelliamo a piacere con abbellimenti in legno, feltro, stoffa, con fustellate, o fiori... Sbizzarrite la vostra fantasia.

Per il secondo cestino ho utilizzato una corda di juta color arancio, ho aggiunto solo della juta sul fondo per nascondere la colla a caldo che si vedeva attraverso la plastica. In seguito ho aggiunto un po' di sisal e delle uova, in questo caso sono di polistirolo, non avevo cioccolatini, ma per dare l'idea...

Invece nel primo che mostro nel video ne ho fatto un portapenne, anzi porta pennarelli

Negli altri conservo clips, fustellate e mollette. 

Io li trovo molto simpatici.

How I made easy vinyl envelopes

 

Hi everyone, today I'm showing you this very simple vinyl envelope, I made  few and I'll have to create more, because I think I can say that it's the best solution I've found to store the dies.

I filmed  a video, almost a vlog where for about 9 minutes ... then I said "this time I'll make a quick video which is maybe more immediate, then I'll write everything properly in the blog." And here I am.

As I have said other times, I believe that cataloging and organizing stash and tools  is  complicated and absolutely subjective thing, what is good for me can be not for you, anyway sharing our own way to store our stuff I think can give an idea and help someone to find a better solution.

I'm always looking for the best way to keep and tools here in the creative room. When I started buying the dies I arranged the bigz and sizzlits as if they were books, even the embossing folders at the moment need to be sorted out because I don't like them much in a box as they are at the moment, maybe they will go in the bags they currently contain bigger cutting dies, I'm studying the best system, I'll update you.

Before tobuy these bags, I made a sort of album with pages on which I had attached magnetic tape and every time I looked for dies I needed,they fell, because the magnetic power of   tapes and sheets is very weak . Then I saw these bags/binders, they have rings like a normal binder and they are right for dies and stamps, each pocket contains a magnetic sheet that should hold dies , I say "should" because they don't stay in their place anyway. At the moment in one I have the largest dies which however have smaller pieces which are closed inside a plastic bag of those with a zip and in turn on a magnetic sheet. Hoping it would be more comfortable, I bought the one with 6 pockets in each page, as someone would say, "good but not very good" because I use the pages on both sides and on side B of the page the pockets at the bottom have access only from the front and therefore you have to take out the magnetic sheet and take the dies. Absolutely better than album I  made before and also better than the document bags I made with pockets that many people asked me before discovering these kind of bags, and the video where I  to sew these document pouches should still be in the channel.

Between the two bags, I prefer this one, for the moment I'm stuck with this solution, 2 binders/bag with tabs that make searching easier and a box (purchased from Lidl) where I placed the bags that I made and other that I buy with dies

And these are the envelopes that I bought with the dies and putting a piece of cardboard and a magnetic sheet, or the tape that I recovered from the unmade album, I must say that they stay in place and are practical, now I'm thinking of adding a image of the die above so you can find them more easily.

The problem is that I don't have everything in one category, let me explain, See bag first there are the butterflies, among the large dies also those dies with the sizzix stamp for example (they are in the other bag) and then the others are in these envelopes , I would like to have everything divided by theme, all flowers, all animals, etc. all in one place and not divided, and that's why I'm looking for your  advice.

this is box I put all envelopes, I have 2 of these, and I want to find another one and catalogue all dies by theme. This size of box is absolutly perfect and envelopes fit right.

To create the sachets I used vinyl, or rather those tablecloths that are easily found in household stores, the transparent ones, nobody forbids us to make them in fabric, I wanted them to be transparent because I really meant to catalog dies.

The transparent in video is not seen much, in photos even worse so at the beginning of the video I put a sort of pattern.

I cut a rectangle of vinyl measuring 35cm x 15cm, and I got a bag 15cm wide and 14 high, as you can see from the photo at 13.5cm I made first fold, than I found the center (7.5cm) and got the shape of the bag, folding the 13.5 on the part of 14.5 we make a mark 1cm higher and we obtain the inclination of the triangle of the envelope, when I go to sew that extra cm that we have calculated makes the upper part of the envelope bend better.

I first made the stitch on the 15cm straight side then I folded and sewed all around, with the zig zag stitch, which in addition to being safer as regards the stitching is also decorative, I put the button with Kam pliers of the same color of the thread used, to apply the button we need an awl, an indelible pen with which to mark the point where the button will go. How does it apply? You can see it in this video and in the box I added the other link to the previous video where again I showed how to do it, anyway we need 2 equal pieces, the ones that look like a thumbtack, and then there are two other types of button that allow you to hook, the part that looks like the pin goes inside the envelope and the other type up, by pressing the concave part with the pliers, which in my pliers is black, goes with the part that looks like to a pin, the transparent rubber part goes on the part that will then close, by pressing the nail it is crushed and blocked, the same on the other side, see well in the video.

For the version with Velcro, the first fact was wrong, the part that closed the bag remained outside the triangle, i.e. the Velcro was not completely covered by the vinyl, so we take the measure based on it, I'll show you a photo to better explain where I was wrong.

I had to cut the corners of the Velcro as they were sticking out the top of the bag. So before sewing the one on the envelope let's take the measurement based on the top.

We first sew the soft part of the velcro on the straight part just decorated with the zig zag stitch. I marked points with an indelible pen and sew, once the bag is closed I sew the second part of the Velcro, than the other one.

Come ho realizzato delle buste in vinile trasparente

 

Ciao a tutti, oggi vi mostro questa semplicissima busta in vinile, ne ho realizzate un po' e altre dovrò crearne, perché finora credo di poter affermare che sia la soluzione migliore che io abbia trovato per conservare le fustelle.

Avevo fatto un video, quasi un vlog dove per circa 9 minuti ... poi ho detto "stavolta faccio un video veloce che magari è più immediato, poi scrivo tutto per bene nel blog." Ed eccomi qui.

Come ho detto altre volte credo che il catalogare e organizzare il materiale creativo sia una cosa complicata e assolutamente soggettiva, ciò che io trovo pratico per te magari non lo sarà e viceversa.

Io sono alla continua ricerca del modo migliore per catalogare il materiale e gli attrezzi qui nella stanza creativa. Quando ho iniziato ad acquistare le fustelle ho sistemato le bigz e le sizzlits come se fossero dei libri, anche le embossing folder al momento sono da sistemare perché messe in una scatola come sono al momento non mi piacciono molto, forse andranno nelle borse che attualmente contengono le fustelle più grandi, sto studiando il sistema migliore, vi aggiornerò.

Prima di arrivare a queste borse, avevo creato una sorta di album con delle pagine sulle quali avevo attaccato del nastro magnetico e ogni volta per cercare la fustella che mi serviva, cadevano fustelle, perché il potere magnetico sia dei nastri che dei fogli è molto blando. Allora vidi queste borse/raccoglitore,  hanno gli anelli come un normale raccoglitore e sono indicate sia per fustelle che per timbri, ogni tasca contiene un foglio magnetico che dovrebbe reggere le fustelle, dico "dovrebbe"  perché comunque non stanno al loro posto. Al momento in una ho le fustelle più grandi che comunque hanno pezzi più piccoli che sono chiusi all'interno di una bustina di plastica di quelle con la zip e a loro volta su un foglio magnetico. Sperando che fosse più comoda acquistai quella con le 6 tasche per pagina, le fustelle stanno più ferme ma, come direbbe qualcuno "bene ma non benissimo" perché io uso le pagine da entrambi i lati e sul lato B della pagina le tasche in basso hanno accesso solo davanti e quindi devi tirare fuori il foglio magnetico e prendere le fustelle.  Assolutamente migliori dell'album che avevo fatto e anche delle bustine portadocumenti che avevo fatto con delle tasche che molto ricordano le buste in queste borse e che prima di scoprire questi raccoglitori, mi hanno chiesto in molte, e nel canale dovrebbe esserci ancora il video.

Ecco tra le due borse tutto sommato preferisco questa, per il momento sono ferma a questa soluzione, 2 raccoglitori/borsa con tabs che mi facilitano la ricerca e una cassetta (acquistata dal Lidl) dove ho sistemato le bustine che ho fatto io e quelle che ho acquistato direttamente con le fustelle.

Le tasche grandi... notare come i pezzi più piccoli si spostino...

E queste sono le buste che ho acquistato con le fustelle e mettendo un pezzo di cartoncino e un foglio magnetico, o il nastro che ho recuperato dall'album disfatto, devo dire che stanno a loro posto e sono pratiche, ora sto pensando di aggiungere un'immagine della fustella sopra in modo da trovarle più agevolmente. 

Il problema è che non ho tutto in una categoria, mi spiego, Vedi borsa prima ci sono le farfalle, tra le fustelle grandi anche quelle fustelle con timbro della sizzix ad esempio (sono nell'altra borsa)  e poi le altre sono in queste bustine, vorrei avere tutto diviso per tema, tutti i fiori, tutti gli animali, ecc. tutti in un posto e non divisi, ed ecco il motivo del video che avevo registrato chiedendovi un consiglio.

Di queste cassette ne ho due, una da svuotare e questa, pensavo di prenderne un'altra e catalogare tutto per argomento in queste cassette che sono della misura delle buste che ho realizzato e che trovo con le fustelle.

Per creare le bustine ho usato del vinile, o meglio quelle tovaglie che si trovano facilmente nei negozi di casalinghi, quelle trasparenti, nessuno ci vieta di realizzarle in stoffa, io volevo che fossero trasparenti perché intendevo proprio catalogare fustelle. 

Il trasparente in video si vede poco, in foto anche peggio quindi all'inizio del video ho messo una sorta di cartamodello.

Ho tagliato un rettangolo di vinile che misurava 35cm x 15cm, e ho ottenuto una busta 15cm larga e 14 alta, come potete vedere dalla foto a 13.5 cm ho piegato la prima volta, poi ho trovato il centro (7.5cm) e ho ottenuto la forma della bustina, piegando i 13,5 sulla parte di 14.5 facciamo un segno 1cm più su e si ottiene l'inclinazione del triangolo della busta, quando vado a cucire quel cm che abbiamo calcolato in più fa piegare al meglio la parte superiore della busta.

Ho fatto prima il punto sul lato dritto da 15cm poi ho piegato e cucito tutto intorno, con il punto zig zag, che oltre ad essere più sicuro per quanto riguarda la cucitura è anche decorativo, ho messo il bottone con la pinza Kam dello stesso colore del filo usato, per applicare il bottone abbiamo bisogno di un punteruolo, una penna indelebile con la quale segnare il punto dove andrà il bottone. Come si applica? Si vede in questo video e nel box ho aggiunto l'altro link al video precedente in cui di nuovo mostravo come si fa, ad ogni modo abbiamo bisogno di 2 pezzi uguali, quelli che somigliano ad una puntina da disegno, e poi ci sono due altri tipi di bottone che permettono di agganciare, la parte che somiglia alla puntina va all'interno della busta e l'latro tipo su, schiacciando con la pinza la parte concava, che nella mia pinza è di colore nero va con la parte che somiglia ad una puntina, la parte di gomma trasparente va sulla parte che poi chiuderà, schiacciando il chiodino si schiaccia e si blocca, uguale dall'altro lato, vedi bene nel video.

Per la versione con velcro il primo fatto lo avevo sbagliato, la parte che chiudeva la busta restava fuori dal triangolo, cioè il velcro non era completamente coperto dal vinile, quindi prendiamo la misura in base ad esso, vi mostro una foto per meglio spiegare dove ho sbagliato.

Ho dovuto tagliare gli angoli del velcro perché uscivano dal top della busta. Quindi prima di cucire quello sulla busta prendiamo la misura in base alla parte superiore.

Cuciamo prima la parte morbida del velcro sulla parte dritta appena decorata con il punto a zig zag. Io mi segno dei punti con una penna indelebile e cucio, una volta chiusa la busta cucio la seconda parte del velcro, quella più ruvida.

Ho aperto un profilo su Ko-fi, ancora non lo conosco bene, ma proverò a caricare cartamodelli, foto ecc anche lì,  se voleste offrirmi un caffè e farmi sapere che apprezzate quello che faccio...
